Melissa Negrete (Pitching)

• Melissa is a former Pitcher at the University of Nebraska at Omaha and Millard South High School

• She was All State in 2005 leading the team to their first ever softball State Championship

• Nebraska Gatorade Softball Player of the Year 2005

• NCAA Region All-Tournament Team 2007 helping her team to advance to the Division II Women’s College World Series

• NFCA “Girls Got Game” Scholar-Athlete Award 2009

• 2 time assistant coach for Millard South during State Championship seasons

• A former player at Iowa Western and Millard North

• Earned Second Team All-Regional (2021 and 2022) 

• 2nd Place career holder for 28 HBP at Iowa Western

• Currently plays at Bellevue University 

• Played last season of select softball at Nebraska Gold-Schaefer (2020)

• Assist coaches Thunder 9u-Beckstrom (Current)
